WHO AM I?
I gravitate toward projects that will allow me to be creative, and my passion is content creation – whether it’s print, digital or somewhere inbetween, I’ve got it covered. My typical client is either a start-up company looking to establish their brand and create a marketing strategy, or a small-scale company looking to boost their brand awareness through revamped social media efforts, a new website, targeted written content or even business development strategies.
I received my B.A. in Communication with a Public Relations and Advertising concentration from Saint Louis University, along with a Human Resources Management minor. I currently work as a Creative Digital Marketing Specialist for Federal-Mogul Motorparts, and I frequently take on a variety of freelance writing and content strategy gigs in my spare time.
WHAT’S THIS BLOG ALL ABOUT?
I’ll be using my blog to focus on providing career preparation advice for college students studying communication or a related field. I know what it’s like to research career fields, apply for internships, write cover letters and resumes, create a portfolio, interview and network – all from a communication student standpoint. While some advice, such as resume writing, may be generally the same for most college students, communication students can still benefit from personalized guidance. For more details on this concept, check out my recent post discussing my blog topic outline.
While this blog was originally started to fulfill #SMPT16 course requirements at SLU, I loved it a tad too much to just quit blogging after graduation – stay tuned!
